YTIPS is an inspiring initiative focused on empowering the youth of Tripoli, Lebanon, by equipping them with essential skills in public policy research and development. Our mission is to nurture a new generation of young leaders who can actively contribute to the positive transformation of their communities.

Since its inception in 2021, YTIPS has been committed to fostering the growth and development of Tripoli’s youth. Through a carefully curated training program, we have provided more than 20 university students with hands-on learning experiences on how to conduct impactful public policy research.

Our participants are provided with a supportive and nurturing environment where they can brainstorm ideas, form teams, and work collectively to identify pressing challenges faced by Tripoli. These challenges may range from urban development, environmental sustainability, access to quality education, healthcare, to promoting entrepreneurship and addressing social inequalities.

Once the issues are identified, YTIPS facilitates access to relevant data and resources, allowing the teams to conduct thorough research and analysis. The participants are encouraged to think critically, drawing upon the knowledge acquired during their training sessions, and combining it with their fresh perspectives to propose innovative solutions.

As they delve deeper into their projects, YTIPS connects the participants with local community leaders, non-governmental organizations, and experts in relevant fields. This networking fosters meaningful partnerships and provides the teams with valuable guidance and mentorship. Additionally, these connections enable participants to understand the practical challenges faced in implementing their proposed solutions.

Throughout the project duration, YTIPS organizes regular check-ins, workshops, and presentations, where participants can share their progress, receive feedback, and refine their approaches. These interactive sessions serve as valuable learning opportunities, encouraging participants to adapt their strategies based on constructive critiques and insights.

We firmly believe that empowering the youth with the necessary skills in public policy research and development is pivotal in creating positive change.
